Villa La Rogaia, an old Umbrian country house, is situated above Lake Trasimeno. In our holiday apartments for 2 to 10 persons with welcome basket you may enjoy a relaxing vacation. La Rogaia is an agritourism amidst olive groves, vineyards and pastures, a paradise for family holidays. Kids find plenty of space to play and discover nature. Master craftsmen known for their artistic flair within an ancient tradition have restored all buildings at Villa La Rogaia. Art works in marble by the sculptor Wolfgang Sandt give this holiday home a very special touch. A large flower garden with pool and a sculpture park surround the house. The apartments have private terraces and tranquil gardens to enjoy. The house is accessible for wheelchairs. You may also enjoy horseback riding in the enchanting landscape of Umbria. The panoramic drive to Lago Trasimeno is as pleasant as the lake itself, dotted with islands and castles. There you will find unspoilt nature and a variety of sports and leisure activities (swimming, surfing, sailing, canoeing). For sightseeing there are many historically relevant towns within easy driving distance, such as Assisi, Perugia, Cortona, Arezzo and Siena. Make a travel in time to Etruscan, medieval and renaissance art or just enjoy a cappuccino sitting on the piazza. Creative classes and Wellness Program: Villa La Rogaia offers a wide range of classes in spring and autumn, such as painting course, watercolour course, sculpting course, cooking school, Tango workshop and creative writing classes. Artists from different backgrounds meet at Villa La Rogaia to explore new ideas. Class participants are inevitably inspired by Italy‘s wealth of culture and history. Children are welcome: Family discount also in high season: EUR 50 per week in all apartments!. Since we have children ourselves we specially welcome families with children. Kids will find plenty of space inside and around the house to play and discover nature. Your children will love to go for a treasure hunt in the woods or discover the ruin of an old castle just next to La Rogaia. The surrounding landscape is a tapestry of olive groves, sheep pastures, woods, sunflower fields, punctuated with cypress and ancient stone oaks. Here, far away from your hectic everyday life you can relax amidst a natural setting. In the early spring, almond and peach blossoms paint the valley. The summer brings honey scented ginestra (broom). Warm august nights are filled with cicada concerts. The hills are laced with golden hues in the mild autumn, warmed by the scent of chestnut fires throughout the valleys. La Rogaia is the perfect spot for those who seek absolute silence: the next public road is 2.5 km away.
