The house is situated in a very tranquil, rural neighbourhood in a small hamlet 4 km away from Grožnjan. Owing to its location on the green hills in the inland of Istria, a lovely cool wind blows often in the midsummer. Wherever you look, you are surrounded by green scenery. It’s the perfect place to take a break from everyday life.
Despite its peaceful position, the house offers an ideal starting point for trips. The seaside can be reached by car in as little as 20 minutes. The Istrian cities such as Motovun or Buzet, which were once Medieval hilltop strongholds, are not located a great distance away either. The closest convenience stores are found in the town of Buje.

The house is located on the Istrian “Olive Oil Trail”. The surroundings offer a great deal of culinary highlights like famous Istrian truffles, Boskarin veal meat, wild Istrian asparagus, locally produced wine and olive oil. The nearby gorgeous Medieval stronghold of Grožnjan is well-known as “a village of artists” owing to its numerous galleries. It addition, it has a good culinary offer. A Jazz Festival well-known among insiders takes place there each summer.

Acquired in 2013 by a German family, the house was tastefully refurbished and decorated in a rustic style. A well equipped kitchen and a dining area for eight people as well as a shower bath and a wardrobe can all be found on the ground floor. A glass door leads from the kitchen to the covered terrace which also has a dining area. In the garden, in front of the terrace there is a swimming pool.

Upstairs there are three individual bedrooms for two persons each, a toilette and a bathroom with a tub. In the spacious living room there is a sofa corner which can be converted into an additional double bed, a reading chair, a writing desk and a television. On the balcony on the upper floor there is another sitting area with a table and four chairs.

The house has very thick walls which provide cool temperatures in the summer. Air conditioning units in all rooms ensure comfortable temperature even on the hottest of days.
Thanks to its central heating and heaters in all rooms, the house is also suitable for winter stays.
In the living room stands a cast iron fireplace. All bedrooms are equipped with roller blinds for moscito protection in the window frames for having a calm sleep.
