About This Property
Trullo del Sale is a particularly fine example of how to restore a trullo: maintain the charming structure and original features, add "sleek-chic" contemporary touches, use top-quality materials throughout, furnish with style and insert a pool into the olive-tree strewn gardens! With sandy beaches and charming towns nearby, Trullo del Sale has a little bit of something for everyone!
Inside: accommodation at Trullo del Sale is spread across the main house and a garden guesthouse.
The layout of the main house is extremely congenial to holiday living thanks both to the spaciousness and the numerous French windows that allow the interiors to flow outside. All on one floor, the main house is organised around a central hub: a generously proportioned, open-plan living and diving area complete with well-equipped kitchen.
There are five bedrooms in the main house:
• the main double featuring high vaulted ceilings and a sumptuous en-suite bathroom with moulded tub and separate walk-in shower
• a double-twin room with a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. This bedroom can either be accessed via the master (so ideal for young children) or independently from the garden
• a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with tub
• a double-twin room with en-suite shower room
• a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. This last bedroom is the most simple and is accessible only from the gardens
Approximately 30m away from the main house is the garden guesthouse, home to a double bedroom, a shower room, an open-plan living area including a kitchenette, and a private shaded terrace. The laundry room is also in this building and is accessed from outside.
Outside: the open-plan kitchen and living area leads straight out onto an extremely convivial shaded dining area with a large stone table.
The garden is extensive, peaceful and dotted with ancient olive trees. At the centre, surrounded by grass-bordered flagstones, is the 14m-long pool with wide Roman steps and a Jacuzzi corner.
Behind the house a set of steps leads to a panoramic roof terrace with stunning views of the surrounding hills and the coast. If ever there was a great place for a sunset aperitif, this is it.
This villa features underfloor air conditioning, a more energy-efficient and environmentally- friendly alternative to traditional AC. It provides a gentle, consistent cooling throughout the space, though it may feel less intense than standard systems
