Soak up the culture in the vibrant city of Sanremo. Quietly perched on top of a hill in a pedestrian area known as \"La Pigna\", this charming escape for 2 is the ideal retreat for couples or solo travellers seeking a romantic escape by the sea.

The neighbourhood\'s name references the shape of a pinecone with its narrow streets and alleys spiralling upward. At the top of the hill, guests can enjoy views of the city and Riviera dei Fiori between Cape Nero and Cape Verde.

The apartment’s entrance opens onto a light-filled living room furnished with a flat screen TV, a dining table and a sofa. The separate kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, an induction hob and a fridge.

Outside guests can soak up the sun on a small balcony accessed from the bedroom.

Bedroom 1: The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe. From this room, there is access to the balcony, where with your gaze, you can dive into the sea

The property is only accessible on foot and requires a short walk up an external flight of steps. The apartment is located in a pedestrian area and cannot be reached by car.

Location

This apartment is ideally located in the historic La Pigna district of the vibrant city of Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. The nearest beach is just an 8-minute walk away.

The property is close to the Regina Elena Gardens, a park near the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Costa, which is dedicated to the eponymous queen, consort of King Vittorio Emanuele III.

The city’s history is reflected in La Pigna’s maze of caruggi (narrow alleys) and excellent family-run restaurants, all withinwalking distance. There are also several supermarkets within 500 m of the apartment. For self-catering, the covered market in the town (open every day except Sunday) is also a must-visit. Here you can buy the best local olive oil, cheeses, wines, vegetables, and fruit to enjoy at home.

Corso degli Inglesi is home to Casino di Sanremo (a 10-minute walk) and the Russian Orthodox Church. Other places of note include the Porticato de La Pigna (a 2-minute walk) and the Ariston Theatre (a 5-minute walk).

For cycling enthusiasts with sea views, the Ponente Ligure coastal cycle path (8 minutes away) offers breathtaking scenery. Among maritime pines and beaches, the route runs along the coast for 24 km. It can be enjoyed on foot, by bike, rollerblades, or skateboard with refreshment points and bike rental services.

The closest international airport is Nice Côte d\'Azur (approximately a 1-hour drive), whilst Genoa Airport is a 1-hour and 45-minute drive from the apartment. There is also a train station a 10-minute walk away.
