Location
Less than an hour south of Bari, the capital of Puglia, in quiet countryside, this property allows guests to relax in peace but also explore some of the gems of the region.

The town of Alberobello (20 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a magical town of Trulli – the conical houses which are only found in Puglia. It is also famous for its delicious food and is a centre for the Slow Food Movement. The town’s weekly market (Thursday mornings) is the ideal place to pick up the best local ingredients.

Castellana Grotte (17 minutes) is named after the series of caves near the town. This is regarded as the finest cave system in Italy and makes for a spectacular day out. The town itself is a lovely place to explore, with narrow streets and fine squares.

The house is only 20 minutes from the Adriatic Coast and 25 minutes from one of the most striking beaches in Italy, Lama Monachile, Polignano a Mare. The white sandy beach is small but the water is clear and a great place for snorkelling. It is also the home of the annual World Cliff Diving Championship.

The closest airport is at Bari, a 1-hour drive from the house.
