Bolhão in Porto can refer to two things: the market or the area next to the market.
The Bolhão area is “the heart of the centre”. It is comprised of a couple of blocks between the famous shopping street Rua de Santa Catarina and Avenida dos Aliados.
The area is also home to the Mercado do Bolhão, the most important municipal market in the city. In this market, you can get from the hands of the most traditional sellers: fresh fish, flowers, traditional bakery, souvenirs and some items for your home. Everything is at a reasonable price.
At Rua de Alexandre Braga 24, next to the market, you will find a place called Manteigaria. It is a factory of cream cakes which are delicious and always freshly baked. Order a coffee and a couple of “pastel de nata”, and you won’t regret it.
If you stay here, you can walk the entire downtown area effortlessly. In addition, you won’t be short of restaurants and places to visit.
Many places in Porto are easily accessible on foot, but if you prefer public transportation:
- There are multiple bus stops that service the area.
- The nearest metro stop: Marcolino Santa Catarina (2-minutes walk).
- The nearest train station: São Bento Station (4-minutes walk).
- Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is 25 minutess drive from the flat.
This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.
Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.
For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.
Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
