The Neighborhood:

The capital city oozes of history and mystery, which you will sense from the moment you step out into it. You will realise very quickly exactly why it has been used as a film-location for countless movies. The almost timeless authenticity makes you forget exactly "when" you are, which allows you to just enjoy the "now".



On a practical level, this smaller-scale big-city is super easy to walk around. You'll need to walk to really be able to take in all the nuances and details of the signature sandstone architecture. Around the corner from the apartment you'll find the nearest convenience store, but allow yourself to get lost into almost maze-like streets, and you'll discover ocean views, hidden churches, unique authentic restaurants and lots of traditional, colourful Maltese balconies.



Getting Around:

Within the city, walking is by far the most practical way to get around. But in case you need to explore the rest of the island - which your soul definitely would benefit from - then you'd be in a 10 minutes walking distance from the bus terminal by the Triton Fountain. From there, you can get basically anywhere on the island.



There's also a ferry that connects Valletta to Sliema, and with the right timing you can exit the apartment and be in the middle of the shopping district within half an hour!



Naturally, there is also a variety of taxi concepts and apps - should this be relevant, feel free to ask for advice!
