Location

This holiday home is located in the town of Sveti Petar u Šumi in central Istria. The town is named after a 12th-century Benedictine monastery, and is situated on a plateau surrounded by ancient forests, hills and traditional farmhouses. It is also known for its gastronomic, cultural and historical sights. and the town holds traditional events, including the famous sausage market, which attracts visitors from all over Istria.

Popular nearby excursions include a trip to Pazin (a 15-minute drive) with its impressive medieval fortress above the Pazin Cave and the Ethnographic Museum of Istria. Here, visitors can experience an exciting zipline ride above the abyss of the Pazin Cave.

You can also quickly reach the coastal towns of Porec (a 30-minute drive), Rovinj (a 35-minute drive) and Pula (a 45-minute drive). Whilst in Porec, guests should head to the Euphrasian Basilica, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Peaceful Žbandaj (a 20-minute drive) is another ideal for a short trip for a bike ride or tasting local food in one of the village taverns. The popular Istralandia water park is a 30-minute drive. The closest restaurant is just a minute\'s walk away, and there is a supermarket approximately a 10-minute walk from the accommodation.
