Arranged over two floors of a detached stone-built house, the property enjoys a comfortable living room that benefits from a fireplace for cooler months and is furnished with a sofa, an armchair and a Smart flatscreen TV. There is also a separate dining room, and a small kitchen equipped with a breakfast bar, a Dolcegusto coffee machine, a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave and a fridge freezer.

Outside, guests can dine alfresco on the terrace, relax in the sunshine or catch the evening breeze with an aperitif on the 1st floor balcony.

The house is nestled in the hamlet of Traffiume, a 10-minute drive from the Swiss border. Tucked away just across the Cannobino River, Traffiume, charms visitors with its rustic stone houses and peaceful woodland trails. Adventurers can head to the Orrido di Sant’Anna (a 5-minute walk), a dramatic gorge with a stone bridge and riverside paths, explore nearby hillside villages like Carmine Superiore (an 8-minute drive) or take the 25-minute drive to the Cannobina Valley, which offers scenic hikes. Carved by the rushing waters of the Cannobino stream, the gorge is also perfect for a refreshing swim.

For a glimpse into the area\'s historic soul, visitors should head to the Chiesa della Purificazione di Maria Vergine (a 2-minute walk), a small parish church in the heart of the village and the 17th-century Church of Sant’Anna (a 5-minute walk), which is perched by the gorge above the water.

The picture-perfect centre of Cannobio, known for its pretty pastel-coloured buildings, cobbled streets, and lively promenade, is a 25-minute walk from the accommodation. Here guests can enjoy coffee, gelato, and sunset views on the lakefront promenade (a 5-minute drive), swim or sunbathe at the town’s Blue Flag beach (an 8-minute drive) or explore the historic old town, with its charming piazzas, baroque churches, and local boutiques.

The closest restaurant is a 3-minute walk, and there are several supermarkets in the centre of town (a 5-minute drive). For the best local produce, guests should head to Cannobio’s vibrant lakeside market, which comes alive every Sunday morning with local cheeses, produce and artisanal goods. From Cannobio, you can also take a boat to Verbania and Locarno.
