Escape into unspoiled nature and relax in this charming apartment. On the ground floor of a traditional-style house, with wooden shutters and a private terrace, the apartment sleeps 2 people. It is the ideal base for an active holiday hiking in the mountains, or for enjoying Menton’s famous beaches. Guests get the best of both worlds!

The apartment is in a village house and is reached via a short flight of steps up to the sheltered terrace. The terrace can be used as an outdoor living/dining room as it is furnished with a dining table and chairs plus two deck chairs. French windows open into the main living space. The furniture is contemporary and includes a sofa, a flat-screen TV, raised dining table and stools. The kitchen is next to the dining area. It is equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, kettle and fridge/freezer.

Sleeping
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a dressing table which can be used as a workspace, a wardrobe and has a glass door which opens onto the terrace.
Crib available on request (to avoid choking risks we do not provide sheets or pillows for the crib).

The pretty tiled bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin and WC

Location
On the border of France and Italy in the Alpes-Maritimes, the apartment is only 10 minutes from the heart of Menton and 15 minutes from the beach. Whilst the apartment is in beautiful alpine countryside, it is close to all the amenities that guests might need. There are two supermarkets just 5 minutes away. Menton’s main market, Le Marché des Halles (16 minutes) is open every day, and here visitors can find the very best local ingredients.

The area is known as a centre for hiking, mountain biking and adventure sports such as kayaking, canyoning and white-water rafting. For something more relaxing, opt for a day on the beach. Menton offers several options including Plage des Sablettes, near the medieval historic centre. Alternatively, guests can head over the border into Italy and explore the Spiaggia dei Balzi Rossi (20 minutes).

The town of Menton has been a popular tourist destination for over 100 years. The old town, with its commanding Basilique Saint-Michel Archange and winding streets, makes a wonderful day out.

Nice airport is 35 minutes away. Alternatively, Menton’s main railway station is a 12-minute drive.
