The Location

Apartment Mazot de Kayla is ideally situated in Les Houches, with a variety of restaurants, cafés, and shops within a 5-minute walk. The Bellevue gondola, just 5 minutes away on foot, provides access to tree-lined ski slopes in winter and scenic trails in summer, while the Prarion gondola is only a 6-minute walk away, offering further lift access.

The apartment is also within a 5 min walk to Lac des Chavants. Lac des Chavants is a small, scenic lake in Les Houches offering family-friendly outdoor activities. In summer, visitors enjoy walking, picnicking, climbing, fishing, orienteering, and playgrounds. In winter, the area is used for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledging. The site has also has  petanque courts, barbecue areas, tennis courts with equipment for hire, and a small lakeside restaurant open into the evenings offering excellent local cuisine and mountain views.

The area is easily accessible by car, bus, or train, with free parking available.

With quick access to the main road through the Chamonix Valley, the apartment is alos perfectly located for exploring nearby resorts such as Megève and Les Contamines, as well as the lively centre of Chamonix, which is only a 10-minute drive or a short bus ride away. A bus stop just 2 minutes from the apartment ensures excellent connectivity.

The open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area provides a welcoming space to relax, complete with a comfortable sofa, TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, stove, and fridge. Additional amenities include secure storage in the basement with boot heaters, ski and bike storage, as well as a private garage on-site, making this property as practical as it is charming.

What’s Included

Self-catered bookings include linen and towels based on the standard guest configuration. If your apartment features a sofa bed and you require additional linen to accommodate maximum occupancy, a supplementary linen fee of €25 will apply. The rate also includes end-of-stay cleaning and the local taxe de séjour (tourist tax), which provides access to a Carte d’Hôtes. This card grants complimentary use of local trains and discounts on museum admissions and other attractions.

Standard check-in is available between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with check-out required by 10:00 AM. Please note that late arrivals may incur additional charges. If your apartment permits pets, additional fees apply. Dogs are charged at €15 per night per dog; however, cats are not permitted in any Alpes Travel apartments.

Payment terms and Cancellation 

To confirm the booking, you must pay 10% of the total cost. Along with the accommodation fee, you will be charged a local tourist tax of 4.6 euros per adult per night. The remaining balance will be automatically charged to the provided card 30 days before your arrival. You will receive an email notification prior to the balance being charged.

If you cancel your booking via email up to 30 days before arrival, you will receive a full refund. However, within 30 days of arrival, the booking becomes non-refundable.

Please note that a temporary damage deposit of €250 will be charged on the day of arrival and held for the duration of the stay. The deposit will be released upon check-out.
