Relax in this charming holiday home in the heart of Istria in western Croatia. Set in a garden, with a private swimming pool, this is the ideal base for a family or friends seeking to explore this beautiful region.

This contemporary villa sleeps 5 people. The light-filled open-plan living space features French windows that open onto the terrace by the pool, and is divided into a seating area and a kitchen/diner. The seating area is comfortably furnished with an L-shaped sofa, coffee table and flat-screen TV. The newly fitted kitchen is well-equipped with a breakfast bar, cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a Dolcegusto coffee machine. Separating the kitchen and the seating area is a dining table with 5 chairs.

The shaded veranda allows guests to enjoy life al fresco. It includes an attractive seating area and a separate dining area, with a small kitchen, for memorable meals, overlooking the swimming pool. The poolside sun loungers allow guests to relax in the sun after a refreshing swim.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe and French windows opening onto the garden.
Bedroom 2: Another airy bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and glass doors leading to the garden.
Extra: The sofa converts into a comfortable single bed.

The independent bathroom has a shower, basin, bidet, washing machine and WC

Location

Set in the quiet village of Cvitani, the villa is only 20 minutes from Porec and the coast. Porec is packed with history, with a 6th-century basilica, a fascinating Old Town and a harbour. There are many excellent restaurants and cafés. The beaches and bays along the coastline are some of the finest in Croatia.

If you can tear yourself away from the villa’s pool or one of the many stunning beaches, then a trip to Pazin is well worth it. Pazin (23 minutes) is dominated by its medieval fortress in the middle of the town. It also hosts the largest outdoor market in the area, on the first Tuesday of each month. For self-catering, there are supermarkets in Baderna (6 minutes) and Zbandaj (10 minutes). To enjoy some of the area’s excellent wines, head to the Saints Hills Cantina (4 minutes) to sample various wines and buy some to drink at home.

Further afield, the city of Pula (40 minutes) makes an unmissable day trip. It has very well-preserved Roman ruins, as well as many cafés, restaurants and a large harbour.

Pula International Airport is just 40 minutes away.
