Relax in a large Tuscan farmhouse with stunning views over the Val d'Era and towards Volterra. This is the perfect base from which to explore glorious Tuscany and would suit a larger family, or two families holidaying together.

Location:
Close to the beautiful hill-top town Volterra, with its Etruscan roots and well-preserved medieval ramparts (20 mins drive). San Gimignano, exquisite UNESCO world heritage centre, is a 30-minute drive away, through the rolling Tuscan countryside. The house is within easy reach of each of Pisa (55 mins), Siena (1 hour) and Florence (1 hour 20).
The property is in a secluded location, with two neighbouring properties, one is a working farm and the other a rental property. The house and garden are not over-looked and are reached by a 1.5km country track, easily accessible by car. A car is essential and there is ample parking. Note that Volterra is not within walking distance of the house.

Inside the farmhouse:
This property is under new ownership, has recently been lovingly refurnished throughout. All six double bedrooms have been updated and refitted with stylish en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is spacious and well-appointed, with high-ceilings, terracotta floors and air-conditioning.
A well-equipped kitchen has been installed to cater for larger groups, with a gas hob, two ovens, air-fryer, dishwasher, large American-style refrigerator with counter-top seating to make time spent in the kitchen a more sociable experience. Leading off the kitchen is a utility room with further fridge-freezer, further dishwasher, large capacity washing machine and separate tumble drier.
There are beautiful spaces throughout the house, including a large living room with statement dining table to seat 14, spacious living room seating area and pool table. One of the highlights of the house is its indoor professional wood pizza oven, situated in the bar area of the main living room. The living room enjoys some of the best views the house has to offer, and also has shutters and air-conditioning throughout, for those taking some time out from the Tuscan sun.

Outside:
There are spectacular views from the outside of the house. The garden wraps around much of the property and has both a gas and a coal bbq. There are three separate outdoor seating areas, one of which has s a dining table and chairs to seat 14. The ideal place to enjoy an evening meal and watch the sun set over the Tuscan hills.
The terraced pool area is equipped with sun-loungers and fantastic views of olive trees and the surrounding countryside.
