Away from the crowd, Porto Paglia is a fishermen village in the South of Sardinia; built in the 17th Century it is now converted into a precious holiday village. Standing on the top of the cliff above a wide white sandy beach it is a dream setting for a tranquil holiday.
Days can be spent at the beautiful beach club, swimming, sunbathing and testing the local delicatessen or you can explore the coast along the winding road visiting little villages and coves. Beautiful destinations are the island of San Pietro, reachable by ferry, and the town of Sant'Antioco. In the evening you can sip a white wine on the terrace or congregate on the front of the house watching the children play in the square. In Portoscuso harbor you may find some nice restaurants, or you can take a boat to explore the coves and islands of the archipelago.

Corte del Vento - IUN Q7234 - is a small, beautiful house, with one double bedroom and two other smaller bedrooms, renovated with a local sandstone floor and modern furniture and fittings. We provide fine linens for the bedrooms and towels for the bathroom. The master bedroom looks towards the central square. In the second bedroom looking towards the South a flexible bed can be arranged as single or twin or double king bed. Two elegant bathrooms, one on the first floor and one on the ground floor, feature modern fittings and generous showers.
The modern white kitchen with a breakfast island includes a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electrical oven, hobs and a precious Illy pod espresso coffee machine. The kitchen opens up towards the beautiful terrace with a sea view where you can have dinner looking at the sunset.
The living room with a modern fireplace and comfortable wide armchairs can sit up to 8 people around the long dining table.

A parking space is available in the fenced private car park.
From Porto Paglia you can shop for food in the town of Gonnesa, five minutes by car, or in the village of Portoscuso or in Carbonia. Restaurants and shops can also be found in Iglesias, an old city with a beautiful cathedral 15 minutes by car from the village.
The Sulcis area is famous for its archeological sites and for the mining activity, now dismissed and open for visits. Excellent wines are produced in the region; we recommend visiting the wineries.
