Location
The villa is just 5 minutes from the charming town of Tuglie which gives visitors a glimpse of small-town life in Puglia. It is an ancient town with 4 prehistoric menhir stones, but it is also known for its Baroque palaces and squares. The town’s weekly market (Friday) is the best place to find the finest local food, including olive oil and a variety of cheeses.
On the Ionian coast, the historic town of Gallipoli (15 minutes) is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months. In Greek, Gallipoli means “beautiful city” and the town does not disappoint. The town’s ancient walls soar over the harbour and fishing port. There is a daily fish market where if you go early you can pick up the freshest catch of the day.
The closest airport is at Brindisi - just over an hour away by car.
