Villa Golf and Sea is a very spacious villa inside the impressive Aroeira Golf Resort which is located in a wonderful nature reserve, 25km from Lisbon, on the Lisbon Coast. The villa is situated within delightful gardens, just over 2 kilometres from the beach. Golfers will be delighted to be staying on this huge golf resort with its two championship courses. Surrounded by majestic, fragrant pine trees and stunning blue lakes, Aroeira Golf Resort boasts two courses, the Aroeira Pine Classic and the Aroeira Challenge, designed by some of Europe’s greatest architects. They have played host to a number of European Tour events including the Portuguese Open surrounded by beautiful scenery on the Costa Azul. There are some good facilities in the resort including a clubhouse which overlooks the Aroeira Pines Classic course, four tennis courts, golf practice facilities, a large outdoor swimming pool and a shop. All of the rooms are very generous in size with the living space being one huge open plan room. The living room enjoys two separate lounge areas, a central woodburning fire and a piano where guests can tickle the ivories. It also boasts a games section with a professional snooker table. The villa’s kitchen offers plenty of modern wooden cabinets and a good range of appliances. The villa boasts five bedrooms and three bathrooms, one of which is an ensuite to the master bedroom. Three of the bedrooms enjoy double beds and the remaining two offer twin beds. Like the living room, the furniture is a mix of traditional and modern. There are two family bathrooms, both with baths and one being a large, corner jacuzzi bath. It is lovely having a soak after an afternoon strolling the fairways. The garden is an absolute delight with lush lawns, mature planting in the beds and a wonderful, sizeable swimming pool. Loungers surround the pool where you can enjoy your holiday read. Guests can enjoy shaded alfresco dining using the villa’s built-in barbecue. Children can happily play in the children’s playground area with a playhouse and slide. Villa Golf and Sea offers a very relaxing stay in a very attractive, natural and peaceful area.

Villa Golf and Sea is located on the vast Aroeira Golf Resort, close to Setubal on the Lisbon Coast. It is 25km from the vibrant capital and close to Sesimbre, the Parc Natural de Arrabida and Portinho Arrabida. It is an easy journey to visit the west coast Costa da Caparica beaches.
The enchanting city of Sesimbra is very Portuguese, retaining its original character and heritage. It is famous for its freshly cooked seafood and its breathtaking coastline. The fish markets are amazing events and the family run Marisqueira restaurants are atmospheric and very friendly. There are wonderful, panoramic views from the battlements of the Castelo de Sesimbra of the stunning beach which extends around the entire Sesimbra bay . You can explore the wonderful coastline by kayak, boat tour or dolphin watch tour. The Cabo Espichel, a wild and exposed cliff headland, boasts incredible views, a unique church, lighthouse and two sets of dinosaur footprints. The headland was once an important pilgrimage destination.
On the west Lisbon Coast, Praia da Lagoa de Albufeira is a fabulous beach with a lagoon where you can enjoy warmer, calmer water and paddleboarding.  The sea waves are perfect for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The panoramic views are sensational and the walks wonderful. Praia do Meco is another breathtaking beach within the Serra da Arrabida National Park where you will find many hiking and biking trails. There is a nudist section of the beach though this is easily avoided. The beach is backed with cliffs and pine forest and has a lovely beach bar. There is often something going on and the beach is home to an annual frisbee competition. Aldeia do Meco is a tiny village, famous for its seafood restaurants, the unspoilt sweep of golden sand and its mesmerising sunsets. A surfers favourite, Biscas beach is challenging and beautiful. Portinho da Arrabida Beach, not far from the villa, and Galappinhos Beach are also worth a visit. The pretty village of Alfarim offers a good range of shops, a bakery, butcher, bank, supermarkets and cafes.
The delightful Setubal offers a picturesque, colourful harbour and a very pretty waterfront. Its Manueline monastery, beautiful ancient churches, acclaimed market and its interesting museums are always busy with tourists. Sebutal is at the heart of the Portuguese sardine industry and also famed for its delicious, sweet and globally acclaimed moscatel wine. You must try them!
Villa Golf and Sea is also within easy distance of the ultra-fashionable, cosmopolitan city of Lisbon. Seven panoramic hillsides overlook the Rio Tejo and cradle this wonderful city. Lisbon’s pretty azulejos, Instagrammable old fashioned trams, fantastic restaurants and bars, iconic markets and its narrow, cobbled streets of the wonderful Alfama district make it a very popular destination. The iconic flea market Feira da Ladra is wonderful for a Sunday morning wander. The Time Out Market is popular for food and drink and the gorgeous Mercado da Ribeira building has a variety of pop-up restaurants. Belem can be reached by tram or train and is famous for its stunning monastery, botanic gardens and delicious pastis de nata.The Berado Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Belem Cultural Centre is worth a visit.
