In a hamlet called Amorosa, which means “loving” in Portuguese, you will find Casa Dona Antonia.



The authentic facade at the front of the house, does not give away what is offered behind the typical front door.



The main house was lovingly restored in 2022, keeping much of its original details and creating a Portuguese-Meditarranean-minimalistic-modern style.



Throughout the property Portuguese products were used: Santa Catarina tiles on all the floors inside, the famous Calcada pavings outside, all chairs are from Adico which was created more than 100 years ago and the bed linen was also produced in Portugal.



The hallway, with its antique floor tiles, leads on the left to a spacious open plan kitchen/living area. On the right hand side there are 2 double bedrooms en suite.



At the back of the house you find a spacious courtyard surrounded by former barns that have been transformed into 4 double bedrooms en suite, each with their own entrance. One of them has its own kitchen and living area.



The courtyard is the heart of Casa Dona Antonia. With a large family table under a pergola next to the outside kitchen with BBQ . The place to enjoy an afternoon drink, a meal made by all, or decide who will win the next game of chess.



There is a built-in outdoor kitchen unit with BBQ, sink, fridge and extra dishwasher.



Outside you will also find the enclosed plunge pool (4,5 x 6,5 m , max depth 1,5 m) in which to refresh yourself on a hot day.

All bedrooms have a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The main house contains 2 bedrooms and the annexes 4 bedrooms. All beds can be adjusted to single beds.

In the still authentic village of Amorosa you will find a small bar and all the basic amenities, a small supermarket, opposite the house and a bigger supermarket just around the corner.
