In the heart of the town of Monopoli, one of Italy’s hidden gems, this central apartment offers the best of both worlds, the convenience of town living, with great access to everything Puglia has to offer, including beautiful beaches on your doorstep.

The third-floor (with lift) apartment, which sleeps 8 people, has lovely sea views from one side and looks out over the tower of the famous 12th-century Monopoli cathedral on the other. It has been beautifully renovated in a contemporary style.

The main living/dining room is full of light. It is furnished with 2 sofas, a flat-screen TV, a dining table and chairs. A glass door leads out onto a private terrace which looks out over the cathedral. There is a table and chairs on the balcony for coffee or an aperitivo al fresco.
Back indoors, the fitted kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, an American fridge, freezer and Nespresso machine.

Location
A 5-minute walk from the cathedral and a 4-minute walk from the beach, this apartment is ideally situated for guests to get the most out of Monopoli. There is plenty to do in Monopoli and the cathedral is well worth a visit, as is the Castello di Carlo (9-minutes walk).
The town is also known for its lively bars, nightlife and delicious cuisine.

Monopoli has several beaches within walking distance and some of Italy’s most beautiful beaches such as Lama Monachile and Polignano a Mare are less than 20 minutes’ drive. The white sandy beach is small but the water is clear and a great place for snorkelling.

Shops, cafés and other amenities are all within easy reach. Monopoli’s vibrant, weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home.

The closest airport is at Bari, a 50-minute drive from the apartment.
