The space
PausaSTAY - Quinta da Maceda is a 200y old traditional Portuguese farmhouse, which was renovated to the highest standard in 2019/2020.
The property has been designed & constructed to give maximum flexibility, allowing accommodation for between 2 & 10 guests.
Exposed original limestone walls, & exposed wood of the floors & rafters, contrasting the cool white modern lines of the walls & fully tiled ground floor, gives the whole property a cosy & clean feel.
Wood burners & central heating keep the place toasty in the cooler months. In the warmer months Solar water heating provides domestic hot water, & a water treatment plant takes the waste water & recycles it for irrigation of the vegetable garden.
Original artwork adorns the walls of the whole property, as does the eclectic collections of objects from around the world, collected by the owners over 30 years.


Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.


House Rules:
- Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property.
- Pets are allowed at the property.
