There’s a beautiful shaded pergola with an outdoor lounge on the patio – the perfect place to gather for a delicious aperitif on a sunny day or watch the sunset with a sundowner. The historic village of Montefollonico is a few minutes’ drive from the villa, and Siena is ideally placed for day-trips. There’s even a Jacuzzi beside the infinity swimming pool which offers spectacular views of the hilltop town of Montepulciano and Monte Amiata.

The villa’s interior is a combination of classic Tuscan architecture combined with large, well-proportioned rooms and stylish, comfortable furniture. The central glass-covered atrium and adjacent loggia is a superb place to gather together and is beautifully lit at night. The kitchen is a particular highlight, with sleek surfaces and a wide array of appliances and an open, raised fireplace, ideal for barbecuing. The two lounges make the house especially adaptable for big groups, as does the cottage with two extra en-suite bedrooms and its own kitchen and lounge. For a group wanting to explore Tuscany at its most peaceful and unspoiled, Palazzone is an excellent choice. Bedroom 6 and its en-suite bathroom are both suitable for wheelchair users. Daily maid service is included in the price.
