Private vacation home
About This Property
A paradise for those who enjoy nature and tranquility, far from the crowds, situated in a traditional Croatian village that looks like the time stopped 50 years ago. The Village Rudine is under protection as a monument of local culture with its traditional stone architecture and sheep breeders pasturing their sheep in the neighbouring fields, still producing their traditional sheep milk cheese.
This property consists of three small stone houses, surrounded by the traditional stone wall, giving you full privacy. You can rest under the pergola shade when you want to hide from the hot, southern sun; take a refreshing swim in the pool, or enjoy the beautiful view from the two terraces. For your convenience there is a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. There are 4 bedrooms (1 x double, 1 x double, 1 x double, 1 x 2 single beds) all of which are entered from the garden. There are also 4 bathrooms - 3 with shower and toilet , 1 with bathtub (all of them are ensuite bathrooms).
In the garden there grow mostly the authentic local species - laurel trees , fig trees, mulberry, rosemary, sage and lavender. In the evening, the lights in the garden create a very romantic atmosphere. A perfect place for big families, giving everyone privacy, it is also appropriate for two families, or a group of friends. With 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 8 chairs round the kitchen table and in the outside dining area, this place is comfortable for 8 persons. In one bedroom there is a possibility to place a child on the sofa. There is also unfoldable baby bed available.
There is no TV.
The sea is in the walking distance, 5 minutes from the house, down the natural path running across the stunning karst landscape. However, the way up the slope takes a little longer.
The swimming pool is equipped with the swimming machine, so you can really swim in it. The swimming pool is not fenced, so please be aware that you are responsible for the safety of non-swimmers.
There is no running water in Rudine village, so the water has to be transported with the cistern. Therefore we kindly ask our quests to use water carefully.
