Set among hilltop gardens and surrounded by valleys and forests, Tegognano is perched at a high vantage point, ideal for sitting and staring at the extraordinary natural sights. Meanwhile, the lower garden houses the pool, a pool-house and a gazebo. Both levels are quiet and relaxing environments, thanks in no small part to the amazing views of the Chiana valley. The pool-house itself is a cool and spacious area, well-equipped with modern comforts including a bathroom and kitchenette. Outside the main house underneath a handsome pergola is a terrace. Here, dining table and six chairs are made from wood and wrought iron, and there is a nearby wooden bench as well as three wicker arm chairs. An effortlessly calm setting to enjoy a glass of local wine and to dine al fresco on fresh local food.

On the ground floor you’ll find a homely country-style kitchen with cooking pots hanging on the wall, adding further to the villa’s natural rustic atmosphere. There is also a breakfast table which doubles as a preparation surface. A more spacious dining table can be found in the adjacent dining room, along with six cushioned chairs – a wonderful place for family and friends to gather for an authentic home-cooked Tuscan meal. From this room one can access the garden via a set of French doors. The lounge, with its open fireplace, sofa and pair of armchairs, completes the ground floor, and is a welcoming place to gather and unwind after a day of sightseeing. Upstairs you’ll find three elegant bedrooms with yet more fantastic views across the valleys and forests.
