Cottage

A charming, newly converted, 18th century stables in a heart of the South West of France. Set back within twenty acres of unspoiled prairie and woodland, just outside a 13th century bastide.
Considered one of France’s most beautiful villages, Monflanquin is alive with market, « marché gourmet », festivals and cafe terrasses.
A generous open plan ground floor flows out on to a large elevated sun terrasse which looks out over the private valley, woodland and lake.
Water from the spring feed the house and pool as it as done for the last two hundred years.
A small summer pool is sunk into the sun terrasse for supervised kids and hot adults.
A fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar share the same space and sunset views with the dining area and double high lounge.
A master bedroom and dressing room are upstairs under the eaves, along with a second bedroom and large shower room.
The second bedroom has single or double bed, which allows four adults to sleep in confort.
The separate downstairs wc, laundry room and wifi insure an uncluttered day to day organisation.
We have just finish converting the stables wing into a independent cottage for friends, family and summer let.
Some of the exterior isn’t quiet finish and so we are offering a discount rate for this first summer.
We encourage visitors to enjoy free range of the twenty acres, organic parkland for picnics, games, or a relaxing afternoon’s fishing by the lake.
The house has its own private parking area.
If needs be, we would be happy to collect visitors from nearby Bergerac airport (40mm) or from the TGV station at Agen (40min) for a “low carbon” option.
The master’s house and newly converted cottage are powered by a substantial photovoltaic system providing entirely renewable energy all year round.
The spring water is pressurized and filter for modern uses.

***The supervision of children in an around the swimming pool as well as on the terrasse and whilst in the grounds on and around the lake and naturals springs is an absolute necessity, at all times. This responsibility falls to the responsible parents or gardians***
