Elbi means ´my heart´ in the Arabic language, The reason for calling my house ´Elbi´ is because home is where our heart beats. Casa Elbi is located in the center of Portugal, in a typical Portuguese village. There is a café next to the house where you can get your morning coffee or afternoon refreshments and mingle with the locals. There is a public pool in the village which is open for all inhabitants with free entrance.
I am Ela, I am Turkish and have been living in Portugal for 10 years. I consider Portugal my home, therefore I have been learning everything about this beautiful country and culture. After many years in Lisbon, I decided to move to the countryside: I love being surrounded by nature, and that´s the reason I chose to live in this beautiful village. Besides that, I like traveling and I'm interested in cultural exchanges. I love cooking and learning about different food cultures.
This beautiful village is surrounded by forests, hiking trails, and natural river beaches. It is a 40min drive to the city of Coimbra and a 30min drive to the city of Tomar. There is a free outdoor public pool at 10min walking distance. Also, there are many aquatic sports that you may enjoy doing on the river Zézere.
