This in an ideal vacation villa for a family or group of friends. Built in 1806 this villa/farmhouse has been carefully restored keeping its authentic Catalan charm but offering all the conveniences for modern comfort. It is very spacious where large groups of 12 + 3 do not feel cramped. Private pool 10 x 5 m.

Notice the large elegant entrance with its original terra cotta barrel vault ceiling. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and old wooden floors.

The owner is an art historian and can advise on all cultural activities. With prior arrangements she can give guided tours of Jewish and medieval Girona, Dali Museum (surrealism) and can give overviews of any historical period.

Relax with family and/or friends by the pool, playing bocce (petanque) or on the patio with some nice Spanish wine and tapas. Children have loads of fun with all the outdoor activities. One family remarked that their stay was like have their own resort and it was a great place for sibling and cousin bonding.

The property has 90 acres of land, fields and woods, and it has an ideal location among the rolling hills, reminiscent of Tuscany, and just 20 minutes from the beach.

Enjoy a gourmet meal at the Celler de Can Roca, recently named the number 2 of the top 50 restaurants world-wide. Just 18 minutes from the villa, in the town of Banyoles, savour the freshest fish you will ever have eaten.

The house is tastefully decorated with Mediterranean colors and antique country furniture. Our clients claim the beds are the most comfortable ones they have ever slept in, including their own!!

There is a large library of books on art, history and many novels to choose from, in English, Spanish and Catalan

Baskets of local organic fruits and vegetables can ordered. In late August and September you can pick your own figs and grapes from around the yard.

Those who enjoy golf have many golf courses to choose from or combine a morning of golf and an afternoon of touring the wine cellars from the area. Spend the morning on the beach and then, after some tapas in San Marti d'Empuries, spend the afternoon visiting the Greco-Roman ruins of Empuries.

Plan a week or two of museums, golf, visiting the quaint medieval towns, enjoying the scenic coastal drives, spending a day in France (just 30 minutes from the villa), visiting the different wine areas, relaxing by the pool and having petanque competitions with the whole family / group of friends while enjoying a glass of wine. Your stay will be the most memorable of your vacations and we can make sure all details are taken care of.
