Casa Caramelo offers a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom accommodation on the ground floor of the house. This rustic house is located in a quiet rural part of Madeira in Raposeira (Faja da Ovelha) in Calheta parish. Casa Caramelo is a 100 years old traditional Madeirian stone house, which used to be a local school building. It has been recently renovated and provides all modern comfort inside. Ground floor accommodation (approx. 40 sq.m. total area) is a totally separate unit of the house, with separate entrance and car parking, to provide maximum comfort and privacy. Since the owner of Casa Caramelo and her 2 dogs (very friendly and quiet German Shepherds called Enola and Eça) live upstairs, the guests will be sharing the garden area.

For the guest's comfort this accommodation is equipped with all the usual features, such as bed linen and towels, free Wi-Fi, TV, washing machine, etc. In winter months the guests are provided with dehumidifier, heater and warm blankets. Average temperature inside in winter is +18 C.

15 minutes drive to Calheta beach, supermarket Pingo Doce, ATM and marina with lots of restaurants
5 minutes drive to the nearest BP petrol station and small supermarket
10 minutes drive from the light house of Ponta do Pargo (and future golf course), where you can watch amazing sunsets

Levada (irrigation channels) between Prazeres and Ponta do Pargo is 5 minutes walk from the house.
Minimarket and snack bar Papagaio is in a walking distance of 200 meters.

The owner provides 24/7 support to the guests.
