This updated, stylish three level house with private parking is the perfect getaway for your holiday to the Portuguese Riviera! You will be close to everything when you stay at Casa Azul. The house is minutes to the beach, markets, restaurants, and the coastal train. It is a short drive or gorgeous, 20-minute walk into downtown Cascais. Take the train into Lisbon for a city adventure and some shopping and then come back to Casa Azul to relax in the peaceful surroundings. It is time to indulge!
The villa is located in the heart of Estoril. Once you pull into the private, gated entrance, you will spot a blue jewel from the 1920s. The terracotta roof and hand-painted tiles are charming, classic details. The house is 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it has a private office perfect for the work-at-home crowd, and a family room on third floor that can easily be converted into a bedroom for extra guests. On the ground floor there is an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area. There is also a full bathroom and washer/dryer located on this floor. The second floor as the primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a 180 cm bed (king) cloaked in linen bedding made right here in Portugal. There is plenty of closet space, even though all you will need is your bathing suit and flip flops! The second bedroom has a 90 cm bed (twin) with an additional 90 cm mattress that roles right out from under the bed. The third bedroom has 2, 90 cm beds that can easily be converted into 1, 180 cm bed (king) depending on your needs. There is a 2nd bathroom to service these two bedrooms. The third floor of the house is the family and TV room. There is 75 inch HDTV, a piano, and lots of toys, books, and games for the kids. This floor also has a game/art table set up for family gatherings and creative projects. In this room, there is a comfortable, Innovative Living Sleeper Sofa that easily converts into a 160 cm bed (queen) and a full bathroom. On a sunny day you can soak in the rays from the top floor terrace or peek down and watch the kids running around the courtyard. The exterior of the house is graced with a big, beautiful palm tree, and small tropical garden, a lounging area, a Weber Grill, and a dining table for 10. There is room in the front of the house for 1 car and a few scooters or bikes.
This is our personal home that we live in with our 3 children year-round. We purchased the home in the fall of 2022 and it was love at first sight. Casa Azul has the perfect combination of urban conveniences and suburban, relaxed energy. While it is not a grand estate, as you may also find in Estoril, it is a stone's throw to the Ocean and boardwalk which feels like our own backyard. We love the juxtaposition of vibrancy and seclusion of the area. Since this is our private home we have furnished the home with a quality of furnishings and amenities that you will not find in typical rentals and hope that you will appreciate all of the effort we make to ensure that Casa Azul is a splendid beach retreat for you! We also want to let you know that the municipality of Cascais requires that we collect the passport number and information for each guest staying in the home as well as a 2 Euro per person nightly fee.
