The village of Mouronho has a mini market/café selling groceries, beer and wine. There is also a butcher and post office. The local municipalities of Tàbua (10km)and Arganil (11.5km) offer a full range of amenities including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, patisseries and restaurants.

For those looking at the wider area of central Portugal, Coimbra (45 minutes), Viseu (50 minutes), the Serra da Estrela mountain resort (70 minutes) or beautiful beaches at Tocha or Mira (70 minutes) all offer a great day out.
