From our doorstep a short walk will bring you to a hot mineral spring which according to legends dates back to Roman times. This natural treasure is with debit 18 l/sec. and temperature of 42.8 Cº. The spring's unique healing capabilities define it as one of its kind in Bulgaria. The local balneology center, which is the largest one on the Balkan Peninsula, offers different treatment procedures.

The legacy of the region's colorful and complex history of ancient civilizations – from the mysterious Thracians and the Macedonians to the glorious Romans, Slavs, Byzantines and Turks – is abundantly evident in Plovdiv's grand Roman amphitheatre, the enthralling medieval monastery of Bachkovo, numerous Ottoman mosques and other sites attesting to a glorious past.
