About This Property
There are 3 large verandas -2 of which are sheltered to enjoy at any weather- with breathtaking panoramic views of nearby islands of Kea and Kythnos , that you will be hard pressed to leave to walk to the beautiful beach of st Kyprianos, which is only 5-7 minutes walking distance.
The house has 3 bedrooms. Two of them have double queen size beds equipped with new comfortable high end mattresses and the third one has 2 single beds. On the upper floor one can relax in either of the 2 bedrooms and listen to the sea. There is also an alternative sleeping-relaxing area in the basement that sleeps 2 more people.
Decoration in the rooms shows the personal touch of the architect-owner. Wooden seilings, plain wooden furniture, stone floors, lights from the architect's collection "spinning tops". The natural colors of these materials make the color palette indoors as well as outdoors.
The 2 full bathrooms are cement coated which gives the feeling of natural stone.
There is also an open kitchen on the main floor fully furnished with all necessary amenities, espresso and filter coffee mashine. The comfortable living room next to that is tastefully decorated.
All spaces, indoors and outdoors, are designed by the architect to establish a relaxing feeling of being at home.
There are a/c in the three bed rooms and a bbq in the entrance veranda.
A water tank insures of water supply which sometimes is a problem on greek islands.
There are many more beautiful beaches all within 5-30 minute drive as well as the picturesque village of Batsi which is easily reached by car in 5 minutes.
There is free wi-fi available.
Price includes cleaning, towels and linen changing once a week. More frequent cleaning service is available upon request. The charge is 50€.
Heating costs are not included in the price.
Andros -the greenest of the cycladic islands - can be easily reached by ferry from Rafina port ( 30 minutes from Athens International airport) within 2 hours.
The house is just 4 km (7 minutes drive) from the port of Gavrio in close proximity of numerous beaches as well as the picturesque traditional village of Batsi with its nice cafes, bars and restaurants.
The island offers walkers and hikers a multitude of 18 paths through quintessential eastern mediterranean landscapes with wild flowers, watermills, old farm houses, byzantine churches and monasteries.
The island offers many tavernas and restaurants serving local specialties, bars and outdoor cinemas.
Chora, the island's capital, offers great architecture, a fine contemporary art museum, a nautical museum and an archeological museum as well as an open theatre to host the Andros festival every summer.
There are plenty of splendid beaches both organized and pristine which are among Greece's finest
