Some of the most appealing features of Piazza Santo Spirito are the daily food and clothing market, open-air restaurants and numerous coffee shops. The piazza hosts many events and concerts during the year and is one of Florence s primary spots for night life. It is approximately a 5-minute walk to the Pitti Palace, Boboli gardens and a few minutes more to Piazza della Signoria on the north side of the river.
