Chateau St. Martin is an exceptional property located in the magical Loire Valley of France. The property can accommodate up to 14 guests and consists of the chateau (7 bedrooms) with guard room and fantastic views of the dramatic confluence of the Loire and Vienna rivers.

** Also available, at additional cost, are the 4 Chateau Suites and the Tower located in a separate house located 100 meters from the Chateau in the village. These suites sleep an additional 94 guests for weddings. Please inquire for rates.

A new indoor/outdoor pool was opened in May 2013 and includes a changing room, sauna, shower and toilet. The Chateau is equipped to handle all sorts of special occasions (for up to 300 guests), including anniversaries, birthdays, religious events (the church is located 150 meters from the castle), photo shoots, etc.

On the ground floor of the Chateau is a stunning entrance hall with a graceful staircase leading up. High ceilings, tall mirrors and pale walls imbue a sense of light and regal space. The great salon has a carved marble fireplace, plenty of seating and a breathtaking view from French doors out onto the Loire. The elegant dining room seats up to 14 guests and offers a glittering panorama of the river. The sitting room is comfortable and intimate, the place to relax and watch TV. The main kitchen is fully equipped with all the up-to-date contemporary culinary necessities, with the castle’s own baker’s oven. 10 people can dine here for casual meals. Also on this floor is a small kitchen, office, double bedroom suitable for guests with mobility issues, guest bathroom and two toilets.

On the first floor you will find all the bedrooms awash with character and romance; antiques and artwork mingle with bold contemporary elegance. The seven double bedrooms all have king-sized beds, (which can convert to twins upon request), and ensuite bathrooms. There is room for 18 people at the chateau proper, and a further 10 to 18 guests in the Chateau Suites located 100 meters away in the village.

The village of Candes Saint Martin, considered one of the most beautiful in France, is just a few steps from the Chateau. In fact, this enchanting stretch of the Loire is designated a UNESCO world heritage site. Visitors requiring a more active vacation can play golf virtually on their doorstep, ditto fishing, as well as a plethora of more vigorous water sports connected with the river. There are stables for riding close by. The area bristles with castles and gardens to visit, and legendary cuisine and wines to tempt your palate. For an unforgettable overview you can take a balloon ride over the Loire and admire its indigineous beauty, including the huge regional national park.
