Villa
About This Property
Most importantly known as an extremely enchanted, charming paradise where you can escape to unwind in the warm Tuscan sun while you drink in the culture and relaxing charm of the property. Our magical home offers everything desired while away, although you may choose to explore all the possibilities close by. Your days can be spent relaxing by the pool or on the loggia, eating alfresco, playing a variety of Italian loved games and exercising amongst the gorgeous nature.
This authentic 17th century Tuscan Villa is located between Cortona and Monte San Savino. A previous estate of the Cavalieri di Santo Stefano and the Grand Duke of Tuscany, finally passed to the present owner.
The working estate of five hundred hectares specializes in grain, sunflower, maize and tomatoes, as well as grape vines, olive oil and fruit trees, including peach, pear and apple. We also have riding stables if you wish to board your horse.
The private cypress lined lane leads to the villa, passing through the olive and tartufo groves, riding stables and family chapel. The front looks out onto the estate park filled with wild birds, chestnut, oak and pine trees - organic herb and vegetable gardens with antique rose gardens and lemons. The entire rear of the villa is discretely walled with the pool, gazebo, bar hut, barbecue (Weber), limonaia with ping-pong table, change room, washroom and shower.
We will share our favourite trattoria, enoteca or villages in the area. Many unforgettable experiences like the local markets, concerts and sagra's which are held every week in surrounding villages. Live life like we do - relax and enjoy everything this gracious culture has to share - art, music, food, wine & local events.
Historical cities such as Arezzo (15km), Arezzo Equestrian Centre (9km), Monte San Savino (8km), Cortona (22km), Pienza (39km), Siena (52km), Florence (70km) and Assisi (85km) are all located within a one hour drive. We are situated on an important historical road and its close proximity to treasured monumental periods of the Etruscan, Roman, Mediaeval and Renaissance make it an ideal base for anyone who would like to explore and enjoy Tuscany.
