La Cavallo is a delightful two-story house right inside the little hilltown of San Giovanni d’Asso, not far from Siena. Situated near a medieval castle, this villa was originally a stables built in the 16th century. It has been totally renovated and offers very comfortable accommodations for up to five people in its three air conditioned bedrooms with two full bathrooms. The open beams, staircase and stone arches make it very charming and classic. The ground floor is an open-space concept with living, dining, and kitchen. Upstairs are a king bedroom, a queen bedroom (can be made into twins), a single bedroom, and two full bathrooms with shower. The courtyard includes a beautiful but small oval pool and breathtaking views of the vast countryside.
This is an ideal property for those who want to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping. Note: La Cavallo is right next door to the Italian Villa, and although they each rent separately, if you have a large party of up to 21 people they make an ideal combination. See the Italian Villa 1.
La Cavallo is an ancient stone structure in the Tuscan hilltown of San Giovanni d’Asso, a short distance from Siena. Very nicely renovated, it offers classic Tuscan features such as stone walls and arches, fireplace, stone and tile floors, and open beamed ceilings. Yet it also features all the modern conveniences we have grown used to, including air conditioning in all the bedrooms. The main floor is sectioned by tall stone arches into a living room, dining room, and a full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Upstairs you’ll find 3 spacious air conditioned bedrooms including one king, one queen, and one with 2 twin beds. Two full bathrooms with shower complete this floor. Outdoors you’ll be delighted with the small private oval swimming pool and patio from which to enjoy views of the rolling countryside.
