Villa Brezza Marina is an exclusive villa on the sea in Fontane Bianche, a well-known beach resort just to the south of Syracuse. Its splendid location, in a quiet residence, overlooking low rocks and sparkling waters makes for a perfect, unforgettable, beach holiday. The sea is just a few meters away and ideal for swimming. The villa prides itself on its beautifully planned garden and outdoor facilities with comfortable sofas, chaises lounges, armchairs, chairs and tables for use all through the day and in the evening. A freestanding veranda, extending from the lounge, creates a harmonious continuum between the interior and exterior of the villa. The veranda leads into the living area and through to the kitchen and to both bedrooms. Tastefully furnished in a contemporary, elegant style, the villa’s all-white finish gives light and freshness creating a refined, welcoming atmosphere. Villa Brezza Marina is also an ideal base for discovering the enchanting artistic and architectural delights of south-east Sicily and of its Baroque towns such as Syracuse, Noto, Modica, Ragusa-Ibla, all part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage. Other important places to visit include lively Catania, charming Taormina, the characteristic fishing villages of Portopalo and Marzamemi, the nature reserves of Cavagrande del Cassibile and Vendicari, the beach at Calamosche, the natural park of Etna and the island of Capo Passero.Villa Brezza Marina is 70 sq. meters and sleeps four guests. The ground floor consists of a comfortable living area, a fully-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine), a double bedroom (king bed) with en-suite shower, and a twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom with shower. The lovely outside area offers a large veranda with dining area, terraces, garden, shower and barbecue.

The town was razed to the ground by the tragic earthquake of 1693, soon afterwards was rebuilt according to a prevalently baroque style and still nowadays its historical downtown pervades with a pretty fascinating eighteenth century atmosphere. There are numerous monuments worth visiting, including the Duomo (Cathedral), the Fonte Aretusa (Fount of Aretusa), and the Castello Maniace (Castle of the Maniace family). To those visitors who are fond of nature and trekking we recommend, besides the renowned bathing localities, the Riserva Naturale di Cavagrande del Cassibile (Natural Reserve) crossed by a short river, which in its course creates some natural small lakes where one gets the chance to take a bath surrounded by an oasis of sheer Mediterranean vegetation. At late evening it is really nice taking a walk along the sea-front promenade of Ortigia Island where one may taste the sesame flavored “torrone” (kind of nougat) or drink a glass of “Rosso di Pachino” (red wine). Cultural events take place all year long but the classical plays of the Greek tragedies – staged in the ancient theater of Syracuse during the months of May and June – have international fame.
